Can Tesla Remain “Top Dog”?

The electric car industry has continued to evolve over the last couple years, and all of this is a product of one company, Tesla. Tesla has been leading the electric car industry for years now, and a common question that many ask is whether Tesla will be the leading electric car company in the future? While no one can truly know, based on how companies have progressed in comparison to Tesla,  they seem to be the top dog always. Tesla is so successful for 3 main reasons: People having trust in the company because of their long lasting success; their technology; and the cars overall look.

The batteries in Tesla’s are one of the main reasons their cars are so highly valued and sought after. Tesla has taken a lot more risks than other companies which has put them above others. Tesla has been making battery-powered vehicles from scratch and they have used very advanced software to increase efficiency. Tesla’s long range Model S drives roughly 370 miles without stopping for a charge and its closest competitors like Chevrolet, Jaguar, and Nissan, can only make it up to 200-240 miles off of a fully charged battery. In addition to Tesla’s technology, its simplicity and overall look catches the eye of many customers willing to spend the money.

Tesla has scrapped many heavy, traditional luxury features in favor of aerodynamics and efficiency. Tesla doesn’t have multi-gear transmissions in support of dual motors. If you look inside of a tesla, you see that there are no heavy motors, oil leaks, or big bulky leather seats/screens. Tesla is known for its simplicity. A Tesla is very simple but in the most beautiful way. Teslas have lots of space because of all the excess accessories and addons that they have taken off, that most car companies haven’t done.

In sum, Tesla will always be a fan favorite because of their long term reassurance. Tesla was the first electric car company to ever really do it and they have been the staple name of electric cars since electric cars were first introduced to the industry. People see how much money Tesla has risked over the years to produce the best products possible and many believe that if they continue this trend then no one will be able to keep up with them. Elon Musk and Tesla have been the trend setters for electric cars and are for the future as well.
